Insane monkey had a very sad day today, he had to put down his beautiful dalmation today. This was a very special pet and he is having a difficult time. I know there are a lot of us that understand what he is going thru and just wanted Insane to know that here at CMT we all feel for him at this time.
Yes…having had to put down a dog of my own a few years ago, I know what it is like. My sympathy to all!.. :-[

Losing a family pet is always a tough time. My sympathies to insane and family for the loss….
SORRY FOR YOUR LOSE, WE HAVE HAD TO DO THE SAME THING AND IT IS AT TIMES KINDER THAN TO WATCH THEM SUFFER. THE MEMORIES WILL LIVE ON FOREVER AND OVER TIME THE PAIN WILL SOFTEN BUT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE. AFTER YOUR LOSS THERE IS NEVER ANYTHING SOMEONE CAN SAY TO MEND YOUR BROKEN HEART. REMEMBER YOUR PET IS NOW WITH GOD AND WILL WATCH OVER YOU ALWAYS. GOD BLESS YOU & GUILD YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THROUGHT THE PAIN.
I've also been through it. My deepest sympathies, it's very sad to lose a pet.
I too have lost a pet and had to put one down. my sympathies as well.

yes it can be a sad time. you get just as attached to them as you would a child. My sympathies go out to you as well. And regardless of how you actually feel now,it does get better and getting a new one does help.
Oh of course my deepest sympathy to you Insane monkey. I love my dog very much and dread the day when she is gone. No amount of words could describe your pain right now but if you need to call someone thenemail me and I will get back there and phone you be sure you put your phone nunber is the emil take care amd call if you need too.

I hate to break up the lovefest, and it IS sad, but it is ONLY an animal. I had to get rid of my truck after 13 years. I never would consider it a family member, even with the great service it gave me.
There is no way it compares to losing a family member.

Thanks to everyone for the sympathy. It is much harder than I thought it would be…i never thought i could be so attatched to him…but i was….and i will miss him forever. As for you Pooga he was more than an animal…he was part of my family and he will never be able to be replaced. You have NO right to say that it compares to your "truck" and quite frankly I would not care if i EVER heard from you again!! If you got nothin nice to say then say nothin….thanks for makin me feel alot worse…I would speak my mind about you right now…but i fear i mite get banned from the site if i do. SO BACK OFF!!!! Thanks to all except Pooga, it helps to know that others undersatnd what i am going through. :(

My heartfelt sympathy to you as well Insane Monkey… it takes a dog owner to realize the unconditional love that a dog gives you. I'm sure he will be missed.
I was obviously mistaken in assuming people understood what I was saying. I'll try again. I am sorry for your loss of a highly valued part of your household. It makes one value one's family that much more.
But trust me on this one, the loss of a pet can in no way be compared to the anguish at the loss of a family member.
I have a couple of family members I would rather lose than one of my dogs. even my least favorite dog.

And they would tell you the same if they could. oops screwed up that one. guess you cannot back space and redo. How many family members would give their life for you? I know a couple of my dogs would if they could.
lol couz u tryin to get rid of me…hehehe… but I do know what u mean… there are certain parts of the family that we could lose… and dogs can be like babies… I know ours got treated better then us kids at times… but I miss them just as much as I miss certain beloved family members
My sympathy to you as well, Insane Monkey. My family had to do that with a cat, and we've had other pets die young unexpectedly. Two of our pets now are getting on in years.
I would just like to give a big thanks to everyone for your support. It helps to know that people understand what i am going through. It will hurt for a long time…but time will ease my pain.
