More New Users

I just posted a message at MiLOWCANADA's website advertising this site. Mabye soon we'll be getting some new, permanent users.

kaiser: Thanks, but remember what I've said over and over… the reason we have such good users here is because we don't go around trying to make this site popular. More users doesn't mean anything excpet more headaches, and headaches on many levels. First, there is the load on the server. Then the is the load on me administering this site. Then, finally there is the problem on your end; more messages to read through and slower to do things due to traffic. This site is NOT a business for me. That means that I don't really want lots of traffic. And because of the number of bills in circulation vs the Canadian population, the likelihood of getting hits from regular users (except in Saskactewan g) is rather low. More users does NOT translate to more hits. Enough said. You guys are free to do what you like, but you have been warned of the consequences. :) You can see them already if you've been a regular on the site for the past year; look at the relation between the number of users and the number of site updates: as my admin duties increase on the site, the time available to be spent coding new features decreases.

That's one reason for directing some members to other sites which are tailored to some specifics. This might reduce the increasing abundance of posts here. Some people get addicted to post boards also. So spread over three sites…..
