re: Remembrance Day

Walked through Victoria Park today….was surprised to see all the wreaths and crosses still against the cenataph….nice to see that they haven't been vandalized. Someone even made flower shapes with a bunch of the extra poppies.

Wow! They've finally been moved there? Pooga and I have been trying to track them down for days…I'll have to run out tonight and get ours.

I also went to Victoria park (yesterday) in Regina and admired the creativity of the ones that didn't buy the traditional wreaths.

I didn't realize that was the REGINA cenotaph…I thought you were talking about the one in Saskatoon.

I have recovered a wreath, and will hold it 'til next years presentation.

Good stuff…. Next year I think we will only put a paper banner on it rather than go the expense of the vinyl banner (that ends up going AWOL)

GOUCHIE OLD BOY WHY DIDN'T YA THINK OF THAT BEFORE I SPENT MY OWN PERSONAL HARD EARNED MOOLA ON THE SUPER NICE VINYL BANNER. OF COURSE THE CASINO HAS TAKEN MONEY ALOT FASTER THEN THE BANNER DID AND IT WAS FOR A GREAT CAUSE. PAPER BANNER NEXT YEAR WILL BE SUPPLIED BY GOUCHE92 (HOPE THIS GIVES YOU ENOUGH TIME TO MAKE IT). THE WHOLE WREATH THING WAS A WONDERFUL DEDICATION TO OUR WAR VETS AND I WAS PROUD TO BE PART OF IT WITH SUCH A GREAT GROUP OF GUYS AND GALS.
IT IS NOT OFTEN THAT WE CAN SHOW OUR SUPPORT TO THOSE PROUD CANADIANS THAT MADE THIS COUNTRY WHAT IS IS TODAY FOR US. MANY MEMBERS OF THIS SITE ARE MILITARY OR EX MILITARY AND TRUE BLUE CANADIANS …ONE OF THE MANY THINGS THAT MAKES THIS SITE SO APPEALING TO BE ON.
