Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to my query concerning 'Dick and Jane'. It is quite amazing to think that from the mid-1940s to the early 70s, children all across Canada learned to read with "Dick and Jane". It didn't matter whether you lived in a city, small town or in a rural area, attended a public school or a parochial one, or even moved from one province to another, all Canadian children had one common experience, and now one common memory. I find that quite fascinating. Thank you very much again.
