Hi, I am pretty new at this. A month ago I found a bill with a stamp on it, entered it and got a hit. Now I entered 9 of my bills already (marked them as one of the members here helpfully suggested to me). How long could it take until somebody gets the first hit on one of my bills? Where you at first unpatient like me? Thanks and have a nice day.

Hi Kordi,
The first hit is hard to get, but is also the sweetest. Sometimes it only takes a week, with others it can take up to a year. I would guess that the average is about a month. My first came about two months after I started entering bills, on a bill that I entered only three days before. So yes, I was impatient.
Getting hits depends on how noticable are your markings, internet access for your area (other users in the locale help eg. Saskatoon), and types and quantity of bills you use. Fives get the most hits because they are exchanged more frequently. A rule of thumb here is that it takes around 100 entries before you start to regularly receive hits.

It took 2 months for my first hit as well. I believe I had entered around 200 bills at that time.

Welcome to the site Kordi from Morinville Ab. It was a couple of months before I got my first hit. Just keep entering all the bill you can get your hands on. The more marked bills you have out there the better your chances for a hit. Happy Tracking:)

I still remember waiting for my first and when it came it was like WOW. I was not the least bit patient as well. Just give it some time and it will come when you least expect it.

Thank you very much for your nice responses and best wishes. Looks like I better get more cash out then using my debit card that much, so I can mark lots and lots of bills. As soon as the first one gets a hit, I will announce it on this site for sure.
