Maybe that is why BC has not much time for the forums. He is out there shoveling snow all day ..lol
We didn't get much snow here in Calgary, but it is bitterly cold ..bbrrrr
I WOULD BE HAPPY IF IT HIT SASKATOON NOTHING YET WOKE TO EXPECT 5-10CM AND GOT NADDA. ALL WENT SOUTH TO REGINA.
HOPE WE GET SOME SOON.
When I left for work at 8:15 this morning, there was about 2 inches of snow on my sidewalk. When I came home about 5:30, there were 10-12 inches of snow on my sidewalk.
I proceeded to shovel the back steps, down to the back gate, over to the side gate, and half-way to the front of the house.
I would have continued, but hubby needed to shovel out the car from the street where he got stuck when he came home. Then he had to shovel so he could park in the front yard.
He hates to shovel, I like it!! (I know I'm in the minority, lol, but it's so peaceful and pretty.)
(BTW, I live in Regina)
Raining here. Supposed to be plus 9 tomorrow with more rain………..
We had freezing rain around 6:30 this morning. Went back to bed and by 9:00 we had the "blizzard" Took out the tractor but couldn't keep up. We'll dig ourselves out in the morning!!
Yeah, Ontario's warm and currently pouring rain. I don't know why we bothered clearing the extra snow off the driveway today from last week's snowfall…IT'S ALL GONNA MELT!
I hate the darn stuff after today…
Darn.. try driving a moving van with bald back tires…
arg…
when the truck is empty with good tires is bad enuff..
Needless to say.. but today sucked for me!!!
I actually ended up driving on the 30th. Drove from Kitimat through Terrace to Shames Mountain where my sister and I were going to go skiing. My sister wasn't feeling to well so I went up the lift myself while she rested in the lodge. Let me tell you, there was snow galore and darn it was cold. Not to mention windy. I managed to get four runs in before I headed back to the lodge to warm up. At which point we decided to pack it in for the day due to the weather. From what we heard it was the coldest day on the mountain all year. Good news is, the roads we good. And my car with it's studded winter tires handled it beautifully.
What province do you live in? (I'm unfamiliar with the names you said.) Here in Ontario, studded tires are illegal…
Oh, sorry, I suppose I really should have clarified that. I live in North Western British Columbia. Winter tires and studs are illegal here during the summer months. And some municipalities have explicit laws against them. I've been thoroughly suprized, though, at the amount of added traction my car gets. Especially during this cold spell we've had.
I hear ya, but i think its going to warm up around 04:00 to -6 then have a beautiful day of only -15 ahhh
Sounds wierd to me too!!
Interesting…Well, they're down right illegal here in Ontario. I think they had some safety concern with them - I really don't know - but I've heard they're fabulous in winter from others as well, so I guess you can consider yourself lucky to have 'em!
