As an irregular attendee I got assigned minute duties.
The meeting was attended by ME (CJ), BDK, MR, Pooga, and after MR and Pooga had to go to work (like I mean really) Pawnman.
I was only in charge of taking attendance, so I'll have to take everyones word on the wearing of their Fur pastie's.
Pooga bought donuts. We heard about MR's new working arrangements and um ok, it was really early and cold so I don't really remeber what was discussed until BDK bought me my second coffee.
I can confirm the Xmas pen works, as it wrote the letter we sent off to dr.
Great job on the minutes CJ — sorry I missed it.
Have to run now and see if JD was right about those Fur pastie's – LOL
Yup the pen did work and CJ so eliquently reviewed the letter to ensure validity and proper content. I sent it after the meeting so dr should have it early next week…
As well, Pooga, the boy's at Continental Auto body were pleased to finish off the left over donuts..
I can verify that the xmas pens work, as I have been using mine ever since I got mine….except it skips every now and again….was at the coffe meeting, but almost missed everyone…will try to be early next week.
yup yup. Thanks to all who braved the cold weather and Pooga for the donuts. Next week I'll be there even earlier since I work at 7am. So I'll say coffee meeting will start around 5:45am if there are any early birds out there that would love to keep me company ;) I'll buy the donuts if that gives any incentive…LOL..I'll post a new thread next week to confirm.
Sorry I didn't make it to this one. I had a very late night but did set my alarm to get up at 6. I looked at the outside temp and just moaned and crawled back into bed. Sorry…warmth won over coffee and donuts!
Maybe one day I will actually get to attend a meeting. It is my intension this year to actually book time off to fly to Saskatoon during the summer (and no backing out) and spend a weekend there. More info to come once I am able to thaw my body from this freezing weather.
And for those interested in my day job, here is a list of the places in Saskatoon that have our product (a Zymeta Jukebox):
The HeadQuarters Pub, 306-2750 Faithful Ave
Specklebelly's Brew Pub, 900 Central Avenue
Crazy Cactus, 2404 Melrose Ave
Tony Roma's, 125 Circle Drive East

I think I speak for everyone here in saying we'd be honored to have you attend one of our many gatherings.
It would be great to have you attend a coffee meeting or perhaps even one of our monthly meetings.
Looking forward to seeing you down here dr
Hmmmm Guys we are talking the arrival of the Site Creator here… upon the confirmation of his visit to Saskatoon a special dinner meeting will be held along with various coffee meetings during his visit. Visits of this nature do not come on a regular basis so will be like a Royal Visit so to speak. You guys are acting like he is just a regular member walking into one of our meetings … I would hope we would spruce up our gatherings if DR. is going to be the guest of honour.
I think BankCollector is saying that we should have a full parade for DR when he comes. We'll all have to practice our CMT drill for weeks to make sure everything is perfect. Especially the oh so tricky "pre-sent stamps" command. =P
…yeah, and no fighting over who wears the kilt! We can all take turns…
Especially the oh so tricky "pre-sent stamps" command. - MasterRaistlin
You are one sick puppy…. :o)
Accchhhh! The kilt, I forgot all about that…
Perhaps we should get DR his own kilt!
I had a kilt when I was 10 years old or so. Not sure what ever happened to it… and it was even the Robertson tartan.
BTW, Sarge, my 12 years in the CF anniversary is coming up in February. Crazy. But with us re-rolling to Recce I believe my time is coming to an end.

I think this might help us non-CF bumpkins understand what DR and Sarge are talking about:
Recce
My 20th is coming in March.
Don't think about ending it just because the role of the unit is changing. I'm running a dvr whl crse in Camp Dundurn right now (Don't ask why a Major is a Crse O - too long a story). One of my sect cmdr's, a Sgt from the Sask D's, is one of the few remaining in his unit that is cross-trained Armour & Recce. There is also a great deal of satisfaction to be gained from being in a training/instructor's position, such as you could still get in Gagetown or WATC. (But I'd avoid WATC if I could help it…too infantry there)
IDJIT: Yes the military does have its own language. I like to use the following example: A friend of mine was on OJT at CFRC because she was waiting the result of a CMRB from NDMC, prior to an OT.
Self-explanitory, isn't it?
I'm pretty sure you're swearing at me, but I can't proove it…
It's not just that. I'm getting more and more busy with work and personal committments. My time has come and it's best to end on a high note.
