In my reply to another thread in another forum I found myself wandering from the subject that started the thread as I often do as one line of thought leads to another. In the past year of being on this site I have moved to the top ten in good time. During that time I have passed many seasoned CMT members. The results have been in some cases very surprising and in others went just as I had expected. Some attitude changes started to show up as I got within 15 to 20 spots from some players and my rapid rise was bothering them (you could just feel the tension building) some was healthy competition and when I passed them it was done and over. For some however it seemed to bother them so much that they could not and will not get over it, some who I have overtaken have been great sports and become good friends with common interests those are the people who I love to meet. Some remain silent in your passing and show no emotion at all in a very carefree manner … (it is just a game) some try to hide there poor sportsmanship behind points as it is not a game or it is not the natural flow of money ( I put a marked bill into the public cash flow to track where it does and to me that is natural)(I will do a soap box on natural flow sometime in the future).
To all the good sports I have passed thank you for your support and encouragement on this site. For the poor sports who still to this day want to challenge or insult me at any opportunity lighten up it is not that big of a deal get over it … it is only a game. And finally to the best sport of all DR. Thank You for giving us a venue to track money and to meet people with common ideas, we in Saskatoon through the joint efforts of many members have joined to become more that just screen names on a site but friends. This action was in full swing when I arrived on the site and I was welcomed with open arms. I just hope I have been able to add a little spice to the meetings. Great site Good friends and get to track money what more could a player ask for (besides more money).

I don't understand that anybody can take it personal when somebody gets more hits or points and therefore moves up in the Top 10. This site is about tracking the bills for fun, not to be a chore or contest (at least I think so). You can't forget that the members with the highest points are longterm members and put a lot of effort into entering bills every day. Why be jelous? If anybody would pass me, I would just say to myself "good for him/her. I guess I have to put more effort in, if I want to pass him/her again".
I have to agree with Kordi.
I don't see it as a game. I do it for the numbers, the statistics, the geography and the conversation.
Certainly there is an element of enjoyment and competition, but I can't characterise it as "just a game" (emphasis added)
I actually dont see it as a game at all. nor do I care if the team thing comes back at all. not a biggie with me. I just add all the bills that I have had pass through my hands one way or another. I do admit to trading with people who dont enter but they are still in my hands at one point in time. so not only am I tracking my own bills but a few others as well. sure wish I could have them all back again. all at once!!
I'm not sure if I call it a game, but I enjoy it. Of course there is competition. But, that changes so much, you bounce back and forth with someone, sometimes for months then one of you moves forward and then you continue with the next. I really enjoy reading the forum, I don't reply all that much, but I sometimes can get a good chuckle out of what is written, that is what I look forward to. From the way some of you are climbing it won't be long until I'm down a few, but hey thats the way the money travels. (Only wish I had all I entered still in my hands also!!)
I believe that CMT is more of a club than a game. You only have to look at the friendships and comraderie that spring up around here. I enjoy the site and like to watch as the new people gain in the standings.

yes and before it would have been all caps. once in a while i pull out my soap box and lecture on a topic. i have done so for some time now they can be long but i feel worth the read. they are now better in lower case thanks to dr. and the new bc feature.
y'know, i didn't ever remember this place being touted as a "game" and sure enough, when i look through all the documentation, that is never even suggested. curious, really, that some would view it that way above all else. but then, there are people who sense all manner of things that aren't apparent to anyone else. but that's clearly only jealousy and a lack of sportsmanship talking. :) tracking money is fun… and for the reasons many have pointed out but also for the intellectual stimulation. well, it's fun until win-at-all-costs mentalities begin to emerge. but that's society… you run into people like that everywhere and here is no different. it's analagous to some hockey dads and soccer moms. quite amazing what is necessary to validate some people's lives… but i digress…
BC, I hate to burst your bubble but I suspect that most people didn't even notice when you passed them. Many many people on this site are here for the fun, the intrigue of seeing where bills travel, and the good-natured exchanges among friends - Note, I said friends, not competitors. And, note, I said good-natured exchanges, not lectures.
Well BC I hope I wasn't one of the ones who you thought was a poor sport. I did noticed you blow past me, but I never minded that. I have on several occassions Disagreed & argued with you. This was cause I am entitled to my opinion just like every one else. With my opinion I am not saying you are a bad guy, but in meeting you in forums, I think you rubbed me the wrong way & I have never really liked you.
I know in some of my messages when I was joking around with J-Lynn I really ticked her off, which I was sorry for cause I had only been joking around.
Rudy. I think I have noted this web page is like a game .. duelly noting so cause I remember mentioning it as a competition with the scoring.
I see it as a game you compete against yourself with.
Try to improve your own stats.
I've only looked at the people I need to pass in the statistics, but that is just a basis for my own challenge.
I look ahead to the bigger better clubs.. such as just entering the 5000 entered club.. I look ahead to the 10,000 entered club
Simular with the 400 hit club & 500 hit club.
So to me this is my own little competition where others are doing the same.
BC, I was wondering if you noticed me passing you in the hit% class?
