Local radio weatherman decided to call the current temperatues "stupid cold" rather than just "very cold."
Have to agree with him.
-38 right now, windchill -50.
And what do we do different? Not very much!
I'll bet Toronto would shut down at that temperature!
Yes, everybody is getting tired of the cold. Where is the famous Calgary Chinook? It must have left to go somewhere else …
I agree with Pooga on both points. It is ridiculous, and -15 would be considered "cold" in Toronto.
hang in there!! Its suppose to go to -9 on Tuesday!! I know they have been saying this for days, but they have to be right sometime!!!!!
Yeah they do….But I hope it happens before June… :-]
Alright, enough of this already!
Yesterday morning, -30, vicious windchill.
This morning, -2, and raining!!! (With snow for tonight).
Driving has never been so much fun!!

Yeah, I guess so. I've only lived in Saskatchewan since 1965.
On the radio yesterday it was announced that one day last week the only place colder than Regina was in Siberia.

and as per usual, they had it wrong. stony rapids, in northern sask was besting regina by 10 degrees at -48C. it was actually the coldest place i could find on earth (it was a balmy -35 in siberia and about the same in alert. there, of course, are still vast areas that AREN'T instrumented that may have been colder) if you're interested, this site has some great info:Surface Weather Data
Thats an awesome site rudyk, thanks for the info
Brrrrr
I think when they said Regina was coldest only next to a place in siberia.. It factored in wind chill
the place in northern sask is pretty wooded area.& not very windy.
Yes, they said they factored in the wind chill.
I worked at the cafe/general store in Brabant Lake in northern Sask and I always found it colder in Prince Albert when I went home for a few days. That said, I'm still not used to the wind here in Regina even after 20+ years.
