I just archived over 3000 messages. The messages still exist in the database, but at this point are not accessible… maybe in the next version. This should make things a bit faster on the main page and will also make it faster to fetch messages.
Also, while I'm on the topic of messages, let's stop this silly, not very funny game of replying to older messages that are hidden deep within the pages of the message boards.

I'll 'fess up. I started it. But the 'needle in the haystack' approach DID make people more knowledgeable about how the site works and the features you have built in.
(I know, I know… never follow a 'yes, sir!' with an excuse.)

Not me. Not much patience. If I couldn't find it quickly I'd just erase it. My compulsions come out in other areas.
to many messages to far away erase is the best
