Something interesting I noticed.
LC Vs Gouche92 Regina Vs. S'toon
Gouche & I started nearly the same time.
28 July 2003 Vs 8 Aug 2003
While I started entering bills right away. Gouche had a lay off.
Gouche has 5900 + bills entered 3 spots ahead of me on the bills entered list. I have 5300 +
Gouche leads by 600.
Hits is the reverse story.
I have 441 Hits, while Gouche has 410.
LC leads by 31
Admitted Gouche never started entering as soon as I did, but with Saskatoon being the Hit Capital of CMT.
To me it appears Regina is as hit friendly as S'toon.
I wonder if we can find other cities where simular stats have been achieved, or if Regina & S'toon , maybe edmonton & sherwood Park. Are just more "hit friendly".
This is just a thought I wanted to share when I noticed simular stats between Gouche & I.
Another interesting thing I thought of after I initally posted this message is the difference in bills entered
…….LC…..LC hits……Gouche…Gouche Hits
$5…..1215….186………2112……..229
$10…..709…..76………1048………88
$20….2971….200………2724……..158
$50…..269……8………..32……….8
$100…..69……4………..17……….3
In looking at the stats on $ amounts I don't think there is a huge advantage to entering $5 bills over $20 bills other than more bills entered.
Interesting stats and theory…Thanks for sharing LC

HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THE ADVANTAGE TO ENTERING 5'S OVER 20'S CLEARLY 5'S GET HIT MORE OFTEN.
I see it
$5…..1215….186………2112……..229
$20….2971….200………2724……..158
maybe you should look at the Top 20 notes
15 fives, 3 twentys, 2 tens.
BC generalized:

well… not in MY world. i have always gotten more hits on 20s (one hit for each 8.33 20s entered as opposed to one for every 8.65 5s). plus, 20s last longer in circulation, so there is a greater chance each stamped one will be encountered. and most importantly, for me at least, using more 20s than 5s is a clearer reflection of the natural flow of money. you know… that which i am here to track? oh, wait… that horse is dead already… :)
…….LC…..LC hits…%…Gouche…Gouche Hits…%
$5…..1215….186….15%…2112……..229 …10.8%
$10…..709…..76….10%..1048………88… 8.4%
$20….2971….200…..7%..2724……..158… 5.8%
$50…..269……8…..3%….32……….8… 25% (wow)
$100…..69……4…..4%….17……….3… 17.6 ( again WOW)
I stand correct. I'm sorry I did a quick estimate in my head at roughly 10 % for each bill.
as you can see my $5 greatly exceed that. & my $20 fall a little short.
I do have a side note though.. I have alot of $20.00 bills that have not been out in circulation long & will get hits.
I do not have see many $5 notes, & so many of those have been in circulation a while.
Where a $20 may take longer to get a hit, it does stay in circulation that % longer than a $5 note will.
On a side note Maybe Gouche should enter more big bills.
Look at that hit % on those big bills.
