I don't get to brag about much anymore around here as I'm a "Regular Tracker", but today I can brag about something non-CMT related…
Today is the day that I officially qualify for my Canadian Forces Decoration, abbreviated as CD. It's the end result of 12 years of service, though the joke is that it's for "12 years of undetected crime". In my case it's more like 12 years of undetected pranks and such (like trying to take left over jugs of beer from the JRs or climbing onto the helicopter on the base at Gagetown). Of course, those are just "examples"… I would never do anything like that…

Congrats dr. A well deserved 'hats off' to you.
Cograts DR. I know I felt pretty good when I got my CD. Let's see…my 20th annoversary is on 05 March. Can I stand two more years for the rosette? I think NOT!
Congratulations, dr. Definitely something to be proud of!
Congrats on recieving yor CD dr.
And, get this Sarge… I actually got the physical medal last night. Engraved and all, allbeit missing my middle initial but nevertheless very cool.
As for your rosette… you've made it this far, what's another 2 years? :)
And for those not familiar with the CD, Veteran's Affairs has a page on it.

Congratulations on 12 years of dedicated service!
Well done dr. I know the day I received my CD was a good one. Just wait until you get the crown on your sleeve, that's a big day to.
Make sure to put it on you business card, you'd be surprised how many people ask about it. And if any of your clients have served it makes for a nice way to form a relationship.
Here in Ottawa, my business cards are in English and French. In French the abbr is DC, so I tell everyone I am a Doctor of Chiropractics.
I never did any pranks like that…other than putting underwear on Jimmy in Kingston!
My friend Don says its degrees of "sneakiness"
12 = Sneaky
22 = Really sneaky
32 = Really, Really sneaky.
Our Honourary Col got his fourth clasp year! That's 52 years of service!
My question is, why 12 years and not 10?
Congratulations to your Anniversary and Decoration dr !!! I am a day late, but I hope you had a great day yesterday celebrating it. Good to hear that you had fun at the same time. All the best wishes :)
Trouble is, I've been saying 'this is my last year' every year since I got mine. First, it was stay in for another summer task; then, just 'til I get my Majors; then, my 20 (for the severance package). Please don't say 'what's another two years! LOL
Wow! On time too! Mine came only two years late, although it did have the correct date engraved on it.
Congrats dr. Well deserved!!!
Best Wishes
Date??? You got a date on yours? Nice. I just got my name.
Ya, 20 years is too much for me - no way I can last that long. Though I was hoping that they would have the real pension set up by now instead. In any case, it's a bit sad that they don't pro-rate it as the cut in half is a bit drastic.

I never realised that there were so many people with a connection to the Forces here.
Partial list: Sarge, dr, magpie, willdo, gouche, BC… anyone else?
