CMT Coffee Club - Feb. 17

Will be held at the Montgomery Diner -11th st and Ave R South - 7:30

A lot of people really like the idea of having breakfast and you can't beat the price.

I will be out of town thursday morning, but will think of you…..eating that bacon, ham or sausage and eggs…..slurping on the steaming hot cup of coffee(with free refills)…..hope you don't miss me too much!

Any chance of shifting the next few to a location closer to downtown?? That was the whole intent when we first started the coffee meetings, a central location to accomodate those that had to get to work or were on their way home from work…..

No problem shifting it at all gouche. We need to find a restaurant someplace close to downtown. The coffee club is evolving into the breakfast club ~grin Soon it will be the breakfast -shopping and lunch club. Does anyone have any ideas on a location ? I don't eat out much. We could go right downtown but have to pay parking after 9.

Just a few suggestions for a downtown location one is Alberto's on Idylwyld Drive just north of 22nd. Street. The Pat Hotel down stairs was also very good, have not been there for a few years maybe it is not there any more I need feed back on that one. Any other locations I would feel that parking would be a issue after 9 like jerbear pointed out.

I just called the Pat and their rest. does not open till eleven. Is Alberto's open early ??

Good question they did at one time open at 7 will have to ckeck it out.

Just checked they are open at 8:00 am. Also tried Cheestoast on 7th ave and they are open 11:00 am.

Count me out as usual working on Thurs. Too bad you guys wouldnl't consider switching to Wed, then I could be there more often than the twice I actually made it.

i was just trying to keep the montgomery a float as they are real slow in the winter and want them around in the summer. consider it my winter charity project i ever gave one of the owners some bobcat work to help pay the bills during the big storm.

I think that the restaurant you are thinking of that was downstairs at the Pat was called "Karz Cafe". It closed a couple of years ago. They now have a new place built along the side of the building called "Joe Dogs"…..

both do not open early enough. i will suppy a ride for you gouche if that will help.

I have found a location that might be good and its open 24hrs – we can discuss it on thurs.

No mstiggs its not in Martensville – however if you would like to cook us all breakfast on Wed. I am sure a few would drive up.

well we hand another fun meeting at the mongomery diner with the fresh smell of ??? in the air. attending todays coffee club was dr. jd fever, jerbear, gouche92. and bankcollector. many topics were talked about and some regular members were missed. bdk enjoy your golf but get back soon … where are you pawnman and wally how about you. shewolf had a note from the doctor so she is covered.
our talk ranged fromm real estate to eggs to jd blowing his … jerbear stated he will miss next weeks meeting as he will be in the pa area. more on next weeks meeting to follow next tuesday. great service and breakfast was shared by all. as luck would have it when i paid for my breakfast i got a marked 20 from vibank giving insane monkey a hit. now that was rather cool. dr. jd fever has been nominated to set up a cmt fishing trip for this summer anyone who wants to attend contact him.

Thanks mstiggs…..I was spending some quality time with my mother! I didn't get bacon and eggs for breakfast though. Next weeks meeting is out for me also. Out of town again. Going ice fishing if weather co-operates!
