Something that was discussed at out last coffee club meeting but nothing firm was decided.
I have been scouting around for a better location to meet the greater needs of the coffee club. One option is the Olympia Family Restaurant 120-2nd Ave. North. The good side to this location is that it is a central location which is open 24 hrs a day. This would allow the early birds like mstiggs, Pooga & Master to attend. Gouche would also benefit from this downtown location.
The downside is that after 9:00 am we would have to plug the parking meters should we decide to stay longer.
Not sure what the prices or menu is like but it might be worth a try. It's only an option and there may be a better location so if you have any ideas please let's hear them.

here's a vote from a disinterested third party you are free to ignore. the olympia is great . this was the site of my finest dining experience ever in yxe. and although good experiences are preternaturally rare in that burg, i would still reccommend it. i have no idea whether it is a union shop, or serves GW or if the owner cheats on his taxes (some of the things i've perceived are important to you folks… :) ) but the food was wonderful, the ambiance old worldly, the prices great and the service outstanding. i'd give it at least 4 spoons!

I always go to the Olympia for coffee. Great place and usually fast service. Indeed it would suit so I can get to work on time. Anyone else interested in going at 5:30 or 6 though? Also, why are you guys are worried about the parking meters? I think it's been made pretty clear in the news that although that lady was arrested for having 140 parking tickets they're just going to throw out the case. The Premier even said that law enforcement and the courts have better things to do then go after people with parking tickets.
I am not done my first job until about 6:15/6:30. I usually require a shower and change of clothes, so 7:00 works best for me. Hopefully this week I will have my vehicle back [wife's car is still in the shop :o(… ]
I used to go to the Olympia for coffee a fair bit a couple of years back, but haven't frequented the place in a while. It is in a good location for me in the AM and I don't think parking should be that much of an issue, just take a lot of quarters or other coinage….
I hope to be there- like gouche says take lots of "coinage" with you- maybe we could all paint it red and track it also or assign everyone a different colour for tracking purposes ~lol

that's okay, shewolf, i understand that stroking off is just about what BC does best…. :)
Well Shewolf, Rudyk and I never agree on anything so why would I ruin a perfect record. Rudyk I am a very satisfied married man who does not have to do such things. I am willing to give the eating establihment a try but I don't expect very good results.
Let's give a try at least once… like when BD and I get back.

I hear that you have been using a" Mop" soaking up a little liquid sunshine on those Golf courses BDK and as for Pooga he can soak up the"Nectar of the Gods" that he spills while trying to arrange his rear end into a deck chair.~lol

Looks like we have a good response towards the new coffee club location so we will be going ahead with on it on Thurs Feb. 24. at 7:30 am. My meeting in PA is cancelled so I will be there.

BC since you response was on the negative side you have been chosen to be "meter boy" for the day so bring lots of change.
There are plenty of restaurants in Saskatoon so if this one does not work out we will find another.

BC, as you are a member of the "bored" in order to miss a meeting you must provide a valid reason in writing (in triplicate) and it must be signed by a parent, guardian or some other "responsible" adult…. :o)
