Bish0p,

Maybe it was hiding under a couch cushion, or in the pocket of a spring coat. I remember putting on my dress uniform, and finding a $20 in the pocket. That $20 was in there for a least 6 months, so who knows? Only Willie I guess :)

Give Me Money

At about this time of year i will stuff a fiver or something into the winter coat pocket and forget about it for a surprise next fall

Whos note will it be ??

Hey Sarge, you know what they say. You can take the boy outta the army, but you can't take the army out of the boy.

I was a career reservist, much like dr. I spent 17 years in the reserves, including some terms of active service on Class C.

So I guess you could say I am a retired CF member, or a HFC. Happy F*^&ing Civilian.

If I remember some of your other postings, you're originally from Sudbury right?

Sarge

Well, yes and no. My family lived in Sudbury and area way back in the early '60's. I was 3-6 years old at the time. Pretty much the rest has been in Saskatchewan, except for the period I was reg force, literally all over the country, but two years in Petawawa and two in Ottawa. Still in Reserves, with about 20 total years in uniform.

Sarge,

They should call you the OC now…:). The last position I held in the reserves was CSM of Close Support Company. Seems that we have the logistics branch in common as well. I've been all over Ontario with the Forces, Borden, Petawawa, Meaford, Kingston, Trenton, and Ottawa. I even made it Wainwright once.

Sarge

Actually, I was OC of Saskatoon Coy of 16 Svc Bn for about 7 years. The unit functions as two Coys in garrison, and as a single combined 'field' Coy when on an ex. When the Bn was brought together (Regina Coy, Saskatoon Coy and Bn HQ) for field ex's, I was usually OC of the combined Coy's about 75% of the time during those 7 years. In the last three years, I've been field OC only once, due to other commitments. But thats OK, we've Jr officers coming up in TI who need the experience.

Now, I'm just a 'CO in waiting' (2nd in line), but it likely won't happen because I don't intend to take the Staff College course.

Maybe we crossed paths in Petawawa. By any chance, were you there on a combined Reg/Res ex in August 1991? I was the TAMS O.

Hi Sarge,

I wasn't on that ex, as I was attending my CLC that summer. We didn't finish until the end of August, and my unit (763 Comm Regt) decided that it didn't want to send us half way through the ex. I got to work with our unit RQ and do a DA verification, as we had new CO coming in October of that year.

I did however participate in "ON GAURD 90" Or "OH GOD!" as we called it. I was attached to the SSF Sigs and spent most of the EX doing DPS.

Sarge

I heard of that Ex, but I was in 'Bordom' at the time. I was in Pet from Dec 90 to July 92, and then the puzzle palace in Ottawa until Sept 94, when I left Regs
