Next week a wave of Saskatchewan bills will be flooding into Ontario look for them in the Toronto area and the Kawartha lakes region. Armed with GW beer, Saskatoon berry jam and a few other Saskatoon items I am heading east to spread the Saskatchewan treats. Any ideas of other Saskatoon items I Could take out for the Easterners to try? (Now before anyone gets ruffled feathers here I am a Saskatoon transplant going back to Ontario to visit … I have lived longer in the west than the east so consider myself a western person). In no way am i putting down the east in fact I bring back home when I return many items that westerners in Saskatoon do not have available in the local stores… cottage rolls, london broil, I tried Hamblin's ice cream once but it does not travel well and Lime Ricky was a real treat but have not found it for years since Canada Dry stopped making it. I will also be taking a supply of Saskatchewan lily plants to have planted in Ontario for Saskatchewans 100th. year. what can I say I spread a little bit of Saskatchewan into Ontario every visit… tried to bring Horse Chestnut trees to Saskatoon but they do not like our weather… however when I build my green house that will be my center piece in the place a horse chestnut tree… that will be my non indigenous contribution to Saskatoon.

Lythrum salicaria is not a nice thing to take. shame on you rudy. that is a terrible weed. like those darned thistles that are trying to take over my raspberry patch.
first mr. rudyk you want to be careful as it is not legal to transport purple loosestrife anywhere but to a commercial greenhouse where they will dispose of it and give you a free plant for bringing it in. thank you antics for spanking that bad boy … i was going to send a member of the snla to tune him in but you set him straight our members have more pressing matters to attend to.
I smeel a scam…raise purple loosestrife…or find a field…and bring it to a greenhouse one plant at a time for a free plant each time! :-)

thank you kordi … sarge you can take them to almost all the green houses call first … antics use the paddle so you do not hurt your hand. this 100 birthday please plant a lily. i heard the province may give them away to any residents who ask for them. have not heard any details sorry.
I'm assuming you're driving to Ontario. All roads lead thru Winnipeg, so drop a few bills here and hopefully I'll come across one. :)
