Well it seems that I now have a bill with 2 hits. So, that begs the question now: what does everyone think I should do about multiple hits? Does everyone who's enetered the bill at one point get a "hit"? Or should it stay as is such that only the originator of the bill gets the hit? And if everyone gets a hit, should I differentiate between originator hits and multiple hits?

Here's what I think:
If A records a bill into the database and prints the website on the top, and B gets it and also records it into the database, A gets a hit (as it is now). If C gets the same bill and also records it into the database, then B should also get a hit. I think that this way, everyone involved is motivated to record the bill and put it back into circulation, to see where it will go next. It makes sense also that when C records the bill, A gets another hit. Anyone else have any ideas?
In case you missed it above, here was my thought…….Hmmm… Maybe what's needed is a second category?
The originator gets credit for the 'hit' and others along the line (but not the last one of
course!) get credit for an 'assist'. I'm not too certain of that one… could get a bit
compicated. Say an 'assist' is worth 25-50 % of a 'hit' in the CMT score??? What do they do
over at 'Whereswilly'???
Here's my thought..A hit is a hit, regardless if you were first or fifth. Only the last does not get any credit; and there is no special consideration for a person who records a URL. Myself, and Saucey-eye if I'm not mistaken, don't hold most of our bills long enough to record the URL on them.
Yes, Sarge, you are correct, and I agree that a hit is a hit, regardless of who writes the URL on the bill.
DR: Congrats on yet another hit! Was it a marked bill? Still in calgary after 264 days! Still would like to be able to see who entered the hit though.
I think that everyone should get a hit, except for the last person.
When the last person enters the bill, I think it should show up that that BILL has a history of hits. (Or does it do that anyway? - I'm new here.) What I mean is, when I enter a new bill, it says the hits are 0. I take this to mean that the number of hits I have with that bill is 0. But I would also like to know if someone else has gotten a hit with the bill I entered. That is to say, I would like to know automatically if the bill has been entered before. Does the system do this?
CIRCLESKY: Ya, you are notified when a bill you're connected with gets a hit. This happens in a couple of ways; First, when you enter a bill that has already been entered it tells you on the 'add bill' page right after you enter the bill. The second way is that an email is sent out notifiying you of the hit. All your bills have 0 hits becuase they have only been entered by you. When someone re-enters a bill, it will register as a hit within the system.
