If you can handle some physical work and 10 hour shifts, drop a resumé off at the brewery. Just had to fire a girl for insubordination after 3 weeks on the job!
Thanks Pooga. I will consider that and probably do that sometime this week.
A job in a brewery- everyone's dream job.
If it pays the bills why not.
May be a dream job if you drink alot of beer.
I know when Molson still had it's brewery here in Regina.
They geve the employee's a certain amount of beer free each month, or week or something.
Pooga does your brewery do that?
I don't drink much beer!! LOL but some people on the site might like the job.. with those perks.
I don't drink any beer, in fact I hate the taste and can't stand the smell of beer. But a job is a job, beer I can always give away.
That is neat of Pooga to offer the job to you mstiggs. You don't need to like beer to work in a brewery, I guess (unless you are a taster or salesperson). I wish you good luck with your new job mstiggs :)
Actually i think that is why molson's gave the beer away to the employee's .. for them to five it to friends. to try.
I'm sure not all the employees gave it away.
But I do think Molsons gave the employee's 2 18 packs a week.. how many people drink that much beer?
Thanks Kordi but nobody said I had the job, just to go apply.
what do you mean nobody can drink two 18's a week
this week I got 2 free tshirts. tantric major and the you just have to feel this fabric LOL
I barely drink 36 in a good month let alone a week.
LC my brother-in-law worked for molson and took home 4 case of 18 a week… was nice when my ex and I got married cause molson gave us extra for a wedding gift… great company :)
Employees receive 1 dozen per week, to be picked up once a month. The same as Molson. It's an "industry standard". And it hasn't changed in the 30 years I've been in the business.
When we were Carling-O'Keefe in the 70's, we were owned by Rothman's. We were allowed 2 cartons of cigarettes per week at wholesale prices… like about $7 per carton!
And for while, Carlings also owned an winery, Jordan-Ste. Michelle, and we were given a case of wine at Christmas.
Apparently Carling had something similar when they had a brewery in Regina, something like two 12 or 18 packs a week (or so my father tells me).
