downtime

Well, I've now fixed what was one of the longest downtimes the site has seen in the past two years. Before you all get excited, no the site hasn't been updated. But you're close… :) In anticipation of the new version, I installed a newer version of the the servlet engine. So the server is now running Apache Tomcat 4.0.3 (in case you care). It is faster at feeding up servlets and has a bunch of other advantages which will make the new version of the site that much better… I promise. Regardless, this is a good sign that the new version of the site is nearby.

How long was it down for? I know when I tried to log in I seen that error with the Apache dealy.. Anyway.. Its all good

Umm, well it was supposed to be a five minute switch. But it was more like two and a half hours. Ended up needing to recompile some stuff, which was complicated since I already modified a tonne of stuff for the new version. Anyway, all is good now indeed. :)
