As most of you probably know, many new music CDs are coming out with a corruption standard that makes them unplayable on computers, and in some cases even unejectable! Found this site and thought you may be interested.

there was an article on CNN about this also. These CD's are mostly made by Sony and already people have found a way around this and it's so simple it's funny. Anyone want to guess what it is? I'll tell you the answer after a while.
I know, I know, so I won't spoil your fun.
But regarding the new Celine Dion cd on that list, I hear if you put it in your computer, not only will it not eject, but it locks up the computer. On reboot, when the computer checks the CD drive, it locks up again. On some systems you actually have to remove the drive to get the cd out. Now there's a good reason not to buy that disk (in my opinion)
One solution was a black felt marker. But it's not perfect either.
That's the one I'd heard about :(
yes..that's the one I heard also Pooga. Even though it's not perfect, it's still really funny that something that simple could totally undo a lot of work and money. The record industry (or gaming industry for that matter) will never be able to make anything "copy proof" or crack proof. There is always someone more intelligent that can find the chink in the armor.
Egads! What will they think of next? How are you supposed to use this black felt marker?
