I handed over two bills, (marked of course) to pay for merchandise at the Sobeys at Bridgeport and Weber this morning. the clerk looked at them and said in a snotty tone "I've received a few of these. What's the point"??
i told her it was just a fun thing to do in your spare time, to track your money across the country. She then insults us more by saying that "Anybody who does this doesn't have much of a social life"!!!
This is also coming from a girl who thought I was a little on the stupid side for parking my car across two parking spots at 4 in the morning. I simply told her WHO THE HELL IS HERE TO WORRY ABOUT HOW I PARK MY CAR!!!!
So tell me, we are addicts but WE DO HAVE SOCIAL LIVES DON'T WE?????????????
It's people like this that make it hard for people to have any fun in life. Remove that PICKLE!!
WE DO HAVE SOCIAL LIVES DON'T WE????????
Are you kidding? I haven't had much of a social life since I bought into this business 12 years ago. And been so busy the last 2 years, along with the different organisations I belong to, I don't have much time for anything.
But CMT is like a mental time-out and relaxation that I really appreciate!
Tell me about it!
I wrote about this on the other site but the b— erased it before anyone saw it.
I was at the Canadian Tire the other day, hubby and I plus there was a mother and her 4 ? year old son with her. I paid for my items with a few bills and waited for my change. The kid says, "mommy, who farted?"
Now I don't think it could have been any of us four waiting for service.
Time to stamp up that Canadian Tire money!
This site is my social life. At school I'm a social outcast. So I guess that that the clerk is right.
And been so busy the last 2 years, along with the different organisations I belong to, I don't have much time for anything.
Isnt that contradicting yourself.
Too busy with different organizations…..wouldnt that suggest you have a social life.

Not really. Volunteer work can't be considered 'social' life. It's still work. (treasurer for 3 groups, active member in two others). I just have a hard time saying 'no' when it comes to requests for help. Sort of runs in the family.
I have trouble saying yes. Or no.
The reason why your message was deleted is because you had th word "C#NT" in your post. Have some class, these are family friendly sites.
So you're from the other site, eh? Don't get me started.

I would have asked for her supervisors opinion…
Hey kaiser! I was a social outcast in school, too. Well, I considered myself a loner. I decided to hate the world and everyone in it, and dressed in black (it matched my mood; it wasn't a statement) sometime in grade 10. Things brightened up again, but by then I started to prefer lonerdom. Developed some kind of social phobia, too.
Thank God for the internet. That's all I can say. Some people are quick to judge about folks who spend much of their time glued to the screen, and living in "2D", but hey. I don't think I'd be where I am today unless I'd met so many great people through the internet.
OK. I'll shut up now.
i enjoyed school, actually i miss it.
But then again I wasnt a total loser, I knew everybody and they knew me, the only problem is I was friends with everybody, but I diddnt really have a group of friends, I bounced around from group to group.
Since then I try and lead as boring a life as possible, because to have a life costs money, and that I don't have.
Cheezie, I totally agree with all that. I hate the world and it hates me. So I spend hours on the computer talking to different people who don't really know me. It sure beats school.
It only costs money if that is how you have your social life I think there would be ways to have fun and not spend a lot of money use the imagination.
Heres a method for saving some money.
Abunch of friends and I have started to play capture the flag, seems odd when you think about it, A bunch of 20 something year olds in a park at night sneaking around.
But its alot of fun, and we dont get drunk either(well we try not to).
We want to have a game downtown on a weekday with a 6 block radius, I'm looking forward to that game.
