Does anyone know what condition a bill has to be in for a bank to pass it on after you deposit it? I have entered over 5000 bills and only have 69 hits. I'm wondering if it's because alot of the bills I track go directly to the bank, and maybe never get any further that that!
the bill has to be in pretty BAD shape for the bank to not pass it on.
You have had some extremely bad luck.
I suggest 2 things
1 Make your stamp bigger ( more noticable )
2 make sure you don't stamp in places where the bank may just destroy the bill.
don't cover the serial numbers, don't cover any numbers on the bill & don't cover the face of the person on the bill.
I think canadian paper money website shows you the security features. I advise not to cover any of them.
sorry I am not sure of the canadian paper money web site but it may be in the help section
Larger bills tend to be dormant longer and you have a good number of larger bills entered..Be patient grasshopper…
Also if the banks send them to be destroyed and they are still serviceable the Bank of Canada puts them back in circulation..
thank you both very much for the information & the tips. I guess just have to sit back and wait for the hits to start coming.
