So I just met up with Pooga. At Classic Jacks on 17th Avenue. And he brought beer. Oh, and he paid for the beer at the pub. What's wrong with the rest of you? :)
Just kidding. So here's the scoop. Pooga convinced me to stop by Saskatoon on the way to Dauphin, MB for Thanksgiving. Twice. Weather permitting, Princess and I (along with Princess' cousin and Scout the dog) will be flying to Dauphin for the Thanksgiving weekend. We need to stop for fuel in YXE on the way there and the way back, so I'm thinking that anyone interested in meeting me can do so on the way home on Monday, October 10th. You can also get a 'dr' sneak preview on the way there but we aren't sure if we will be departing on Thursday night or Friday morning. I do, however, know we will be stopping at Saskatoon Intl at either the Imperial Oil location or the Shell Aerocentre. Does anyone know which is nicer? Or perhaps someone can call both and see if there is a conference room we can all gather in for 30 minutes or hour or so (for free preferably). We'll be buying fuel so there should be some benefits. And I think Pooga can supply some beer (for the staff and the meeting attendees). :)
I will post details as the date gets closer and will be keeping in contact with Pooga (who will act as meeting central) on the days in question. Interested parties should register with Pooga to ensure they are notified of the plan.

As to which location is nicer, according to Haywood, the Imperial Oil is a "modular trailer". The Shell Centre is much nicer, being a real building and all.

Had the honour of driving dr home to his midtown mansion. (For those who know Saskatoon, I understand that its value is on par with a Briarwood Lake shore home!!!)

Definatly the Shell. They're both nice folks, but there's a lounge in the Aerocentre and I think more area to tie down.

As I recall, you were looking for contributions at the time to pay for the Postal Code package, and I bought the insignia in lieu of a contribution.

BTW…because my oldest son lives in Calgary and I will be making a few trips there between now and Xmas….anybody that has a gift(money included) to present to dr…..just let me know…I will gladly convey the greetings (and the gift) to his place of residence. My next trip is planned for sometime in November so…Shop…people…Shop!
