entered bills

If I enter a bill that the prefix is not accepted can I stamp it and spend it and will it be automatically entered when DR enters the prefix? Or do I have to keep the bills until the computer accepts the prefixes and then reenter them? There is something wrong with my email so the prefix AZW was not accepted but I could not tell DR about that one and the other prefix is ALG..these are prefixes for 20's

Write down the serial number and enter it later when the prefix is in the system.
