I while back I mentioned that some character was ripping my stamp off my bills. I changed my stamping strategy, stamping in the middle of the bill and on the reverse side of the security stamp. The other day this same guy shows up with one of my bills with the security stamp (and my stamp) missing. "Sorry" I told him "can't accept this bill- there's not enough of it…" he gets irate, tells me he REALLY needs some smokes, etc. etc. I just smile and tell him he shouldn't destroy his bills like that. He goes wild at this point, telling me he's going to report me, blah blah. I break up laughing at the guy, and tell him "no problem, I'll explain to the police why I stamp bills, and you can explain why you destroy them…" I can hardly wait.
