Heh, saw this in a local weekly coffee house publication; reprinted without checking for permission… but…
A Brazillian court ordered Brahma Brewing Company to pay $30,000 in damages plus a life-time pension to their former senior brewer Bernd Naveke. Unable to work due to his alcoholism problem, the brewer endured twenty years of tasting where he was required to drink six to eight litres of beer each day beginning in the morning. His daily intake was as high as 3.1 gallons per day forcing him to retire at the age of 40. Naveke's lawyers stressed Brahma's negligence for failing to warn him of the risks associated with the job.
