Old 5's

I went to the bank today to get some 5 dollar bills. I was surprised to get some of the old ones, uncirculated and in sequence. I figured them to be all gone by now…. but I guess not. So of course I stamped them and let them go.

They are probly just getting rid of the old stock they had before they give out the new ones

I've gotten quite a few as well.

I wonder if the initial release of the 2002 series is limited so that the paper longevity can be analysed? Either that, or they still have a ton of the old ones in storage!
