what does it take to increase your level? i haven't entered that many bills really, but i'm a dedicated newbie now, whereas someone else i've noticed has entered a good few hundred bills is still considered a newbie. what's the deal!?! (don't get me wrong…i'm liking the improved status, i think it's great!)
I just Emailed DR and he bumped me up a status. Every week now I have to email him to bump me up untill i get unlimited. Hes a nice guy, so give him an email and pour out your soul to convince him.

I wonder if its possible for a newbie to join a team with more senior, unrestricted members and bypass the daily limit?
dr has the last say on daily limits, it doesn't make any difference if they join a team or not.

Actually, that's only partly true. You emailed me and that reminded me to run the user level update script. You earnerd the level you are at. That I adjusted your entry limit accordingly. So, to set the record straight, emailing me will not increase your level, only your entry limit.

if a newbie moves up to intersted newbie after entering 52 bills, how come i am still at newbie after entering 651? just wondering
Because there are other "factors" beside bill entries taken into account when determining a user's level.
