Money whats it all about

About a year ago a customer at my liquor store (where I work part-time) bought about $85.00 worth of booze, laid down a $100.00 in $20's, and started to leave. I said "Hey, don't you want your change?". He responded with "MONEY IS NOTHING! BOOZE IS EVERYTHING!!!" and walked out without his $15.
If a person leaves a dime or a quarter and says 'keep the change' I will, but this was too much. I put it into the staff lottery fund.

I had a guy come into my store buying a pack of smokes with a $100 bill as I was counting his change he walked out leaving me a $93.00 tip. maybee it was that same guy after he drank the booze :)

thant was about 3 years ago that that happend…. noiw it would only be a $90 tip…. oh well I still wouldn't complain:)

My best tip was on the first day I ever worked for the Liquor Board. I carried two cases of beer out to a yankee tourists car and he gave me $20 Cdn.

But normally I refuse tips…after all, it is a Gov't job. I don't consider "Keep the change" to be a tip.

anything under $2.00 I just put in the till to cover people that are short a few pennys or over pumps with gas. Anything over $2.00 I put in my pocket… better mine than than the bosses:)

I've quit a few times. (best was 3 years!!!)

Last time I was doing really well, 4 months, no problem. Then I went to Cuba.

Had to try their tobacco. At 50 cents a pack(!), couldn't afford NOT to smoke. Oh well, hooked again.
