Is Sarge still in Edmonton?

Hey Sarge, are you still in Edmonton? If so, I wonder if you can do me a favour on base there? I need two Sergeant ranks for my mess kit, which are completely not available here in Calgary… anywhere. However, one of the units up there should have a set in their kit shops. You know the kind I'm taking about, right? Red (scarlet?) backing with gold coloured thread for the rank. Anyway, if you could pick me up a set, and mail them to me that would rock. But if you don't have time or aren't there anymore, that's cool too. :)

Yes, I'm still in Edmonton. Can do for picking up the stripes. How soon do you need them? I'm going to Ex Kootaney Castle in Trail next month, and will be passing through Calgary…could personally deliver them!

Well there is a mess dinner in September sometime so anytime before that would rule! As for passing through Calgary, ya, if I'm here. I'm leaving for Dieppe (it's the 60th Anniversary of the raid and my regiment took part) on August 13th, and will be gone until the end of August. I'm also slated to meet with your brother sometime in August though I don't think I've had a chance to reply to his email. Also, please be sure and let me know the cost so I can pay you back, Sir. :)

They are now on the way through CF Post to your Armoury. The bill is with them. Just deduct from that what I owe you for the postal code project, and my share of other projects. Had to get them from 1PPCLI kitshop, the LSHR were out as well.

PPCLI??? That's no good. I can't walk around knowing they came from an infantry kitshop!!! Just kidding. Thanks ever so much, Sir. :)

What was the total? Okay, I will consider that a valid donation and will post that scan you sent me a while ago as soon as I get a chance. I have been wanting to post it as I think it's the funniest thing I've ever seen. :)

Really? You mean they were selling the old stock at the old stock at the old price? Wow, no one does that… And the last set? Jeez, is everyone getting promoted to Sgt these days or are red Sgt hooks now a popular collectors item?

As for Sgt's making lots of money, I don't know about that. They don't make as much as Major's; I know that much.
