What a lucky night!!! I came across this bill when a friend of mine called me up and told me a customer used it to buy smokes with. It's not in the best shape, but still it's a great find. I think it's a replacement as well. There is a K over an X 85482??.
Nice find – not a lot of fives still circulating. But no, it's not a replacement. The way they used to do it is put a small asterisk before the serial number. Catalohue value about $6.50.

Do you know what a 1940 quarter is worth, I got a couple in my til from the same guy, I exchanged them and kept them. Both year 1940.
