today I recieved a message from the name BIGBIGBIG would is a obviously a member of whereswilly. He or she tells me that I have entered bills today on the cmt site and asks me to please enter those bills on whereswilly since they are trying to get 3000 bills entered in one day. Did anyone else get this message and is BIGBIGBIG a member of cmt???? I do not know how to put the email message onto this message so I forwarded to antics and maybe she will know how to do that.
hey….it does seem that BIGBIGBIG has had a profile at CMT since 2004, but not that active. I haven't recieved any email, but in my opinion it seems a little "tacky" to troll 1 site to drum up entries for the other (if thats what's going on).

You entered bills today, could you enter them at www.whereswilly.com too we are trying to break a record in one day (3000).

I barely have time to enter here and the bills I entered today were long spent! I had them on an email draft and deleted as I entered anyhow.
I received the same message at about 8:45 PM yesterday….
I was also emailed.. but only read it this morning.
He sent it to me also, didn't see it until this morning.
I checked my email after reading this thread, I got one, too.
… me too, although, I can't think of a good reason to do so. It's not money tracking, since I'd never check for hits; and I'm not sure what kind of an achievment it would be, especially since they had to ask for help from another site to get there- what kind of bragging rights would that be? We (sort of) made a record amount of entries one day (well, not us exactly), yay!??

I got one too and am ignoring it.
Four years ago I did something similar to about 10 members of WW, and ended up getting hit with a spam warning from sasktel. I haven't checked my e-mail box that a Willier could get the address to, but I think this deserves a spam complaint. What goes around, comes around!
Being a member of WW also (to enter hits only)I posted the question about this e-mail. Waiting for a response. Will post it when I recieve it. I alone take full responsibility for my actions and any misbegivings that may occur.
raja the oes, yes it was a friendly message and as I posted this in the forum, BIGBIGBIG was on our site. I would include the email but have no idea how to do that. I know of one other person who recieved this message from him and I am sure there were more. And yes I would suggest that he is a member of whereswilly no doubt; and would go so far as to suggest that he is trying real hard to extend on his family tree. I have been getting tons of whereswilly bills and of course i have no problem entering them on the site but I am well embedded in this site and I am very happy here…after entering money comes the other necessary things like kissing hubby when he comes home from work, preparing meals and cleaning house all of the latter done reluctantly lol…sheesh did I say that????
well sarge I didn't know you could file a complaint to anyone but if so I think it could be reported to the server as a spam….good thinking :-)
Oh, oh! As a member of WW, I thought I should say something. I think BIG went a little overboard by sending messages to CMTers but he didn't mean any harm by it. I hope people here are not too offended. BIG just likes to have fun.
Sorry if I offended some of you, but it was WW 5 birthday and I had the idea of entering 3000 for the event. I am a member of the three site and again I apologize. At last minute I knew it was goig to be close so I ask for little help, that's it. We did enter 2986 bills and I won't bother you again I promise. I am still waiting for my first CMT bill, so keep spending them.

DR FEVER…ya took the words right outa my mouth. AS I SAID IN ANOTHER FORUM THREAD a few days ago. Great button that DELETE. I use it often. I received the same email and I was not offended by it and after reading it I simple hit the delete button. It is unfortunate that it was sent to some who bo not like to let things go… an error in judgement perhapes … spam well that is going a bit far in my eyes. Like killing a fly with a sledge hammer.
Spam is junk email BIG… And try not to let anyone from this site scare you away. I don't see why everyone from all the tracking sites can't get along and work together. I always enter marked bills at whatever site is on the bill, and I hope people from other sites would do the same.
This is the comment I received back from my provider after the incident 5 years ago.

you mean some people call spam meat?? that is a bit farfetched. kind of like calling bologna prine rib.
THAT LETTER FROM SASK TEL … They are another company that hits everyone with the same hammer. Ten e mails sent out does not to me indicate a large spam problem but I suggest that Sask Tel may have got one complaint and sent you out their standard spam letter. I went to Shaw from Sask Tel as did not like the run a round that their staff hand out. Shaw is not much better but AOL does not have high speed so went to Shaw when the phone company ticked me off. I say hit them where it hurts in the pocket book.

Actually I have my email with Hotmail. It blocks out spam, yet I still alert hotmail about my spam.
I think it is a great service to have your service provider block out spam or keep it under control.
If someone doesn't like an email send it to the provider & keep the major spammers under contol.
10 emails is not major & I didn't mind it was directed to US ( CMT members ). The email just wasn't thought out as much as it could have been. If it was thought out he wouldn't have sent it.
HE did Apologize & that is all that is needed to make me happy here.
