ANOTHER IDEA,
While it is allowed to block or hide much of your information in your profile I would think that this level of privacy should be based on your standing in the member lists and ranks. Example a new member may hide personal information only but a person must reach a lever of Tracker or higher before then can block stats info or bill entry info. etc. etc. . Until someone has reached tracker level their site activity should be an open book.
Your information should only be able to be blocked to people who are at your level or under. Those with a higher level than yours should be able to see any information on those of a lower level. Example Idjit is a Superior tracker so he should be able to view anyones information blocked or unblocked at any level lower than a Superior tracker (In this case everyone on site as he is the only superior tracker.) Master trackers may look at any blocked or unblocked information of any member below that level.
why should some stuff be blocked at all? personal info fine but the bills etc is another thing. I for one think that they should NOT be allowed to be hidden. I see no good purpose in that practice. It is something that has always perplexed me. I look here and there and wonder what are you hiding? Maybe its just me but……….

I agree fully, I don't think any information related to bill info should be blocked, but one should have the option to hide personal info .
i also agree that information should not be hidden my comments were if they are allowed to be hidden that some limitations apply.
different ranks should not have special privilages in hiding stuff… we start doing that and we'll have more people not wanting to join… look how many get upset cause they can't post a picture fast enough… either u can block what you want or not… that doesn't matter but what does matter is special privilages will just hurt the site

I also agree with you both… Being able to hide info about bills is like an open invitation to cheat.
Just my two cents ….
I agree with the above that info should not be hidden. People register to a site knowing that their info is going to be put on the site in their profile.
Stay anon if you dont the info put in.
…I blocked my info: there was a particular person on this site who insisted on using my stats to develop profiles. After asking me if I wanted my profile page "done'. I said no, thanks, but this person persisted. I said if they wanted to develop someone's profile, they should use THEIR stats to do it. This person simply did not get the hint, so I was forced to block this data so it would not be used for commercial purposes.
I don't have a problem with anyone blocking their data. It's their data- no one else's, and it doesn't imply that they are hiding anything. As I said, I felt exploited, and used this option to protect myself. If you think I'm wrong, please private mail me to explain why- I'm not afraid of a debate, I just don't want to sully the site by having it in the forums.

Before, I couldn't see any good reason for hiding your bill information, but I can totally understand your reasoning Idjit. now we've all got both sides of this issue to think about…
maybe just newer users shouldn't be allowed to block info. obviously no one would think a long-time user like yourself is hiding anything, but what about some newbies who don't take this seriously and are just screwing around?!
(just an idea)
or better yet, if someone takes your info and uses it like he/she did with Idjits, they should not be allowed to use the site. That way they wont just use some one elses. I have had people on eBay use my photos. If they ask, I say go ahead, cause I really dont mind but ASK!!! If they dont ask, I report them.
Good idea, but what are the qualifications for each level? I have seen the listings of level, but not the qualifications for each level. Currently I have been stuck at the level that allows thirty five bills to be entered per diem, but I have been there since Christmas. I regularly enter the maximum but get no further growth in my ranking.
The higher you go in rank the longer it takes to get to the next level…Just keep entering and you will move up…
Maybe if you email and ask DR very very nicely, he will at least up the number of bills that you can enter. worth a try at any rate. I rarely make my limit. in fact never at this level.
I will wait for the limit to raise, I am just wondering how long the wait is, it went from weekly increase, to suddenly it has been two and a half months and counting. I work in a parking booth, and use the twenties that people pay with to be my entries. Unfortunately, I seldom have the time to mark them so I have only one hit in almost twenty six hndred bills out. I plan on getting a stamp in April but even a stamp takes time, and simply recording the numbers on a paper to record on the computer later is difficult at times. Problems with ten and fives is that I do get the tens and fives back from customers I gave them to for change. This has recently happened with one twenty, but it has happened with two or three fives, despite the few I enter.
You really have to get a stamp, so you can get some hits….Stamping only takes a second and it will definately help you hit ratio..
That is true, however, being newly married my money has other priorities, and then there is also the factor to make sure that if I stamp or mark a bill I actually enter it. I do not mark in anyway bills I "keep for predating" on the weekend. I save bills from Wed or Thur or Fri and enter them on Sat and or Sun. But t make sure I do not mark them and then not enter for some reason, I will not mark those, also I have sometimes recorded a bunch and then entered them in the wrong order so I may have marked the first thirty five and entered the last. Then again, if the driver comes, I may not even had time to record all the notes. So I make sure to record them first, then the marking or stamping may happen if I have a second to do so.
