Hey all you crazy kids,
The Super 7 is at a pretty big payout right now. Don't know if Idjit is planning on running a pool again, but I don't mind taking on the responsibilities. Should we say Friday afternoon is the cut-off? Address:

Let me know…
It's all yours- normally, I'd be up for the challenge, but I am way too busy right now. Count me in for $20.00, As soon as you decide whether you are doing it this time, I'll send you the cash.
Helpful Hint: make sure everyone knows how it works before you start getting cash- it just works smoother…

OK, so here we go. Everybody that wants a piece of the action, just post here and send me the cash, or email me. If we win, payout will be determined on percentage of final cash/cheque tally Fri afternoon. For example, if we have $500 collected, and Idjit puts in $20, his total payout will be 4% of the winnings, or $700,000 should we win the 17.5 million. Sound fair? Now who's in?? Numbers will be emailed out Fri.
I'm in. But better go a little deeper into the rules.
Like we win $50 and 10 free plays. Jackpot doesn't go. We let it ride on the next week. Some people want to invest more. They start a new group, right?
The issue the last time was the way winnings were carried over. There were two camps: one wanted each draw to be segregated, so winnings from free plays from the first draw would be limited to those who contributed to the first draw. If someone new contributed to the second draw, they would not share in prizes resulting from the first draw.
Others liked the 'blended' method, where winnings from the first draw were rolled over into the second draw, and additional contributions from new people would be shared with people from the first draw on a pro-rated basis. This was the issue the first time we did this.
Personally, I favor the latter method for two reasons: 1. It is far less complicated to administer, and 2. It gives each person access to more mumbers = greater chance at a prize.
I say let's just get the ball rolling, and get the numbers in, and see how much we take out of it. If there are ten of us, let's say, and we take 50 bucks, we could just see who wants their money, and who wants to put it back into the next round. Also with free plays, I think the fair thing to do is to just throw them into the mix the next time around. Does this seem reasonable?
I prefer the first method. If you only contribute on the first one, and there are further contributions later, your share gets smaller and smaller.
Let's just get our funds in now and stop there. The latter method only works in a setting where everyone contributes the same amount every week. Here we have some people at $2 and some at $20, or more. Or if you just contribute on the 2nd week, who knows if it was one of the first week free tickets that won? Too convoluted.
Yeah, count me in. I'll send ya the moola. I'm not a big gambler, voluntary taxes you know, but I throw in 5 bucks.
I've been away on holidays. Missed joining the Super 7. Did you win?
