OK, on the advice of some of the people in this pool, I have decided to set out some rules for the pool before I start receiving the cash, so there are no surprises. So here we go:
- Money received by Friday's mail will be included in that day's draw. If received after Friday, it will be either a) returned to sender, or b) included in the following week's draw, whichever the sender requests.
- All numbers will be drawn as "quick picks," unless pool members request certain combinations of numbers.
- The maximum number of number combinations a pool member can request is 2.
- Payout to members is calculated according to how much each member contributes. For example, if member A contributes $100, and total pool contributions are $500, member A will receive 1/5 the winnings.
- Concerning free draws: all free draws won by the pool shall be carried over to the following week's draw.
- Should winnings work out to be more than $50 per member, a cheque will be mailed the Monday following the draw to each member.
- Should winnings work out to be less than $50 per person, each member will have the option of: a) putting his/her money back into the pool for the following week's draw, b) claiming the winnings in which case a cheque will be mailed, or c) "banking" the winnings and when total "banked" winnings are over $50, a cheque will be mailed.
7a. Members have until midnight Thursday (Pacific Time) to decide on rule #7, above.
7b. Should nothing be decided after midnight Thursday, the winnings will be put back into the pool for the draw. - Any additional rules or rule changes that members may feel necessary must be posted on this message board, and approved by the majority of members. Final decision to any additions/changes, however, is reserved by "saucy-eye".
