I have, once last fall. Right now the policy is to not count it as a hit if you receive your own bill at a bank.
Does the bank keep and destroy?
Some people, even bank employees, say that the BoC does.
But the BoC publicly stated that a stamp on an otherwise good bill is NOT a reason to destroy. There are also unconfimed reports that the BoC actually fines banks that send them bills for destruction that are found to be acceptable.
That's the reason I prefer to concentrate stamping and registering 5's and 10's. They are more likely to stay in circulation than go back to the bank in someones deposit.
I know there has been warnings from the banks, but I don't think they've destroyed most of my 20's. That's what I marked the most of and every payday I get a bunch of hits from ATMs.
One of my first hits was from someone who had received my marked bill from an ATM.
I rarely get hits from 20's.. But have got one or two from an ATM. Once on a fifty also, from an ATM:)
I got a hit from a twenty. Went across a ferry and through half of B.C. and its the second hit I got that came from Crofton and wasn't mailed to Dr.
I was just curious due to the fact that when I bought my new car most of it was paid for with cash. It was some 150+ marked bills that I'm assuming the guy I bought the car from probably deposited them. I have yet to get a hit from any of those bills! I have yet to also receive my stamp from the order company. This hand cramp thing really sucks.
3 out of my 4 hits are 20s. I just got a hit y/d and it was from north york. the comment said i got it from the bank of nova scotia. this must mean they put them threw the banks.
Just got this hit as well
