I see that T-rev has joined the movement!
He hasn't had a hit in so long that he had to come to our neck of the woods to get himself a hit!

What's going on over there in Saskatoon? Do you have some huge money magnet attracting it out of BC and every other province? Mr. PG could be Prince George's magnet!!
I've been a member for 10 months. There's something in the water (South Saskatchewan) that converts Saskatoonians, or it's the long winters and the middle of the Prairies. (how close is Saskatoon to the boreal forest?).
how close is Saskatoon to the arboreal forest?).
Actually, it's the Boreal forest. From Boreas, the Greek god of the north wind. And would you beleive that there is more in Saskatchewan than Alberta?
Since you brought it up, check out the June, 2002 edition of the National Geographic. Page 42. Very good story on this circumpolar entity.
the malpropism struck me at 1:30 AM and like a flash I was at the computer to edit the message before Pooga or Sarge logged on. I missed. I'm still on holiday mode but it was a horrific mistake.I did catch the National Geographic Issue. There was also recent articles in the Edmonton Journal which confirmed the worst in Albertas' forests; a true mess as three different private groups with their own agendas (expedient money) have not collaborating for an organized plan. The province is ravaged by seismic cut lines, natural gas roads and development, and logging. There are no longer extensive tracts of undeveloped, pristine forest. This was embarrassingly outlined to the Alberta/Klein govt. who, of course, disagreed. How has this issue hit the larger forested areas in Saskatchewan?
I know I'm a bit late on the reply to these postings, but I never saw I was a topic until just now because I'm finally bored enough at work to check out some other boards I don't have time for normally.
So yeah, I was impressed about getting a hit in Saskatoon, the heartland of CMT. Also I was jealous my bill got to go there because I actually really would like very much like to see the city for myself. (Plus I have this crazy Saskatchewan thing- it bugs me that most Canadians don't realize half the province is forests, with lakes and such)
As for Mr. PG, you'd be surprised, people go out of their way, something fierce, to get a picture of themselves and family in front of Mr. PG. (I know cause I work at Tourism Prince George)
