How does everyone feel about Google ads these days? To date (in 6 months) I've made a little over $180, of which only half has actually been paid. I've used the first payment to buy a new router and I'm not sure what I'll slate the next $100 to. Though, I may save that up and use it to pay a graphic designer to clean up the look of the site and create some new themes. Or I still may decide to pull the Google ads off the site. Not sure. Let me know your thoughts.

Well, now that we know for sure the speed of the site is not affected by the ads- I'd say keep 'em. They don't distract from the site where they are, and there's even some interesting stuff in there sometimes. The revenue isn't much, but it does offer a little support, and if it can buy a few little improvements- why not?
I agree. they have never bothered me, and a little income, however small, I'm sure helps with your overhead, so keep 'em!
I would echo Idjit's comments. They may not offer up big cash but a little is better than none at all. They also are not a distraction on the site. I have clicked through on a couple of the ads over the past few months and actually purchased a product from one of the advertisers.
My vote (for what it is worth) is let them stay…. :o)
They are of no bother to anyone using the site and may be used by anyone interested in them. So I say if they make any amount of money to help the site, leave them as they be.
I'm fine with them. I even sometimes check one of them out. You do so much work for this site for free. If the ads bring in a bit of revenue, so be it.
I vote to keep the ads and get whatever cash you can from them.
In occassion I click on various ads. Some are appealing to me.
As some people said revenue.. I don't see it as revenue, I see it as a cost cutting measure. These ads do not pay
enuff for it to be considered revenue.

I don't think that anybody is scared here to say what is on their mind. As everyone before me has mentioned, I agree that you could keep the ads. So it looks so far 100% yes.
Another yes, no problem with them. and if you keep 20% for a beer or two, thats fine too. Cheers
I also have no problem with the ads and if they can help you with some of your inprovements, I say keep them…
the ads are fine and do not hurt the site. keep them.
If you put a small joke of the day or horoscope there too I would remember to look at the adds. I honestly don't notice them so they are fine with me as well.

Since many people barely notice the ads, it shouldn't bother them. It would be nice if the ads brought in a little more money to cut costs, so maybe putting a joke of the day under them, would bring more attention & people seeing ads that they would click on.
Even without telling people who has supported the site, It would be nice to be able to support it easier. Such as emailing money, hyper wallet account ( another form of emailing money. ) I can't remember what other types of accounts I have online.
