Instead of doing a 50/50 draw where someone would make money off fellow money trackers, we took a donation to send to DR. I am not sure how much was collected. I just know that the money was taken ( not even sure by who ) to give to the "treasurer" in Saskatoon. Is that BDkingston?
We also included a gift certificate in with the collection, so pukpukg even contributed.
Thanks to all the sponsors!!!
& now that we had a mock gathering of the minutes for Craik maybe we should start a real one!!

Pooga

I guess it's time to come back to reality.

Sarge, Pooga and The High Command (THC) teed off at 9:45AM. Great day for golf. Not too hot and breezy enough to keep the mosquitoes away. Sun was stronger than we figured though! Enjoyable game had by all. Coming to the clubhouse, JD and Master were there to greet us. As it was almost noon, we then went to the park and found Suzuki there waiting.

Started to set up, moving things and unpacking. Can't remember the exact order, but KFB, LC, Missus LC and Joycer all showed up shortly thereafter.

Hunger was not a problem, snacks of all kinds available. Started playing bocce in our favourite creekbed. Long on the edges though, and that proved to be a challenge. Next year we phone ahead and ask them to mow the court a little better!

Wanted to start cooking, but had only a little wood and no charcoal. Finally decided to call CJ and Haywoodja to find out their ETA. Turns out they were just at the park gate on their way in! Got the charcoal going and soon Suzuki was cooking. Did have a couple of spits of rain, but nothing serious. Moved the BBQ closer to the building and Suzuki was able to lean against it rather than on his crutch.

Sarge and Master seem to have won the most bocce games. Rather than make a drawing of pukpukg's $5 gas coupons, we gave one to each vehicle that came, which worked out fine.

Lots of food and drink left over. CJ's dessert was awesome. Please post a recipe for those CMT Slices! Joycer's buns were even better than last year. Idjit's contribution was very much appreciated. Suzuki did a fabulous job cooking. (THC appreciated his Burger Neatness!) Thanks to those who provided the burgers. Love those camping trays of KFBs!

Everyone was so stuffed, nobody wanted to be the first to leave! Finally left the park about 6:30PM.

And a great time was had by all.

Joycer

Thanks to the expert tour we received from Tourgurl last year I was also able to take LC's girlfriend to see the sod huts.
