Yes that is for the first couple of years then they start on the 8 pounders and learn to use those finger holes properly.

Sorry I missed this conversation. I golf mainly at Valley regional park in Rosthern. I have had a memeber ship there for a number of years. I bowl in a Tuesday night league at fairhaven bowl in Saskatoon. I lived in Regina until 1980 when I moved to Saskatoon.

Yes, I heard that is a nice, challenging little nine holer…but I have never played there.

I bowled at Fairhaven last fall when I lived in Saskatoon…in the new Rocky Mountain 30 & Under Competitive League…I finished the half with a 227 average, but I averaged 254 in the last quarter to get it up to that level…tough lanes!

I was Assistant Pro at The Willows Golf & CC last season, as well…but I made the move back to Emerald Park for this season.

Sounds like there are enough Regina and area users to get together for coffee and pizza sometime, like those of us in Saskatoon have done twice now.

That would be fun, but I don't have a lot of spare time on my hands…I am trying to hold down two jobs (Emerald Park Golf & CC, and University of Regina Financial Services)…on top of this, I am taking a university class starting Saturday…well, I would prefer to be busy than the opposite…cause I've been there before, too! lol

I'm good at most sports except geeky sports. bowling is a grey area. I suck at it.

I golf at Saskatoon West myself, I find the Willows a bit pricey on weekends. Trouble at SGC is that from all the money they make on the public West course, they don't put any back into mainternance. It all goes back to the East course, for the members only!

Might pay to be a member, then, eh? :lol
