Canada Day Weekend

Anything going on in Saskatoon on the July 1 weekend? 21 and Sparrow will be in North Battleford for a wedding. Be nice to have a get together :o) Any trackers in North Battleford?

I will be in Northbattleford that weekend also…weather permitting…canoeing the battle river.

I did that a couple of times about 20 years ago in the North Battleford Labour Council's race. Unfortunately that was during a few dry years, and we ended up dragging the canoe half the way!

We're not going. Our ride caved. Have fun pawnman!

I canoed the Churchill for five days back in '92, when water levels were really low. Our guide told us the water in the areas we were in 'used to be' 10 feet higher. Considering the last three years, I wonder if those levels are back up at all/ Has anyone been up there or heard anything lately?

Back in July 1974 I canoed on the Churchill River. Water levels were not low that year.

I was with a group that had a base camp on Devil Lake (where Otter Rapids flows out of), where we camped for a week. Then we took 2 weeks to canoe to Stanley Mission and back to our base camp, where we spent another week.

It rained almost the whole 2 weeks we were away and we had to make 2 new campfire sites as both of our original campfire sites were under water when we returned.
