user names

I was admiring all the cool & creative names people have chosen for their user names, and I am a little envious as I just used my actual name. Would it be considered in poor taste to change my user name at this point? I'm still fairly new (just got my stamp today!!!), though thoroughly addicted. This site should have some sort of disclaimer about addiction.

I think if you email DR & ask him very nicely he may change your user name.. then you can keep all the bills you have already entered.
I think he has done it a handful of times, but I think he asks you to wait a certain amount of time.. this just helps him weed out a few people who start.. want to change their name.. then end up quitting anyways.
I am not saying you are one of these people, but it is a bit of work to change, but much better than you just starting a new user name.

Go ahead, change it! You will have to email dr and have patience as he is very very busy maintaining this site. I had made a typo when I put mine in and it started out as anicts or something like that. ancits maybe? whatever it was not as it should have been and I asked dr if I could change it. disclaimer is a good point. but would it have stopped me? not likely.

Addicting? Not this site.

If you read the New users forum, when someone introduces themselves there is at least one warning about it being addicting.

Congratulations on getting a stamp, it will make your tracking more enjoyable and quicker.

It would not be in bad taste to change your username, there have been a few that have (J-Lynn and Res-Q are two who have changed names). Just send an email to dr and he will eventually change it for you. It may take awhile since he is a busy man.

Welcome to this non-addicting, but mildly habit forming hobby.

Mike, welcome to CMT. Good for you that you won't change your user name. Nothing wrong with it to use your real name. You are really addicted already, having entered over 900 bills. You are doing well with getting hits already too. Happy tracking and have fun :)
