Political Forum

Is it possible to create a new forum for poilitical discussions or should we let the General Forum be the political forum? I go to the forums to read about money tracking related posts not politics.

I like the idea of a seperate forum so those who do want to read todays conspiracy theories and the like will still have an outlet - beats prohibiting a topic outright

Yes this No place for Politcal bantering as you will never get two people to totally agree on anything.
If we allow this to go on fro much longer we might as well call this the FREE -FOR -ALL site and not CMT.

so you two go get a room pooga and hash out your political sites in private … you one of the top dogs on the site should know better. if one of us young (to the site) pups did what you have been doing with honeybabe we would have felt the rath of pooga soon enough. thanks just my humble opinion only and my final one at that.

If we ban freedom of speech, limiting the forums to tracking money, would that also restrict those who use the forums to promote thier 6/49 habit - see contests???

yes yes it would of course winning money would help with money tracking but political jabber does not help in money tracking forums.

we aren't banning freedom of speech.
each forum is meant for certain things.
I guess the general forum is just that.. when we 1st started the lotto pool. it was deemed most like a contest.. thus that is where it is.

I don't think anyone said anything about banning it.

Something I think could help in reading forums.. is when you click on the x for a topic.. that topic will no longer show up with new messages for you.
I usually read all the messages in the opics I want to read.. any that I don't I hit the X.
( maybe something else for Dr to think about programming. )

I think it a good idea, any outlet for 'resonable' political discussion is healthy.

Instead of political it would be more like "they are all out to get you and soon it will be me too!" column. how about calling it paranoia, politics and persecution?

not at all free speech is more than welcome in the proper areas. some of us just get tired of wading through none cmt threads. i would gladly support the pp forum and might even look at it once a year but the general forum is not the place for it. the same as the lottery issue of last year when one of the forums was filled with lottery fever.
the threads on this site are often rants from one of us from time to time but we must control ourself when it comes to something the we are attached to that we do not shove it down the throats of other members. heck i could go one for weeks about banks but i would think that i would be told my place far sooner than that. for bank talk i go to the still banks of america members only area as most on this site would not care about or have the passion i have on the subject. please do not confuse the muzzle of free speech with our boredom of non related items. we are here to track money and most of us like to stay on the subject.
