I have found in my tracking that I am not able to get above #38-40 spot. I've started to lose my interest. Seeing the trackers from Saskatoon and other prairie provinces us it Ontario don't stand a chance!!!
I'd like to purpose have a top 10-12 per province.
I/anyone in Ontario would be lucky to get 1-2 hits a week.
I've tried to enter every day, and now am finding there's no competitiveness, I don't ever believe I'll see anywhere near #20 or #30.
Please don't consider this whining, but a statement look at the top 50 yourself.
When this site was first started a few heavy hitters in Saskatoon jumped onto the site real quick. This made the powerhouse of the site in one province and the heart in another and so the site expanded. Ontario has a chance to do some great things on this site over time you are like a soldier fighting overseas … it is a lonely job but somebody has to do it. Hang in there, everytime one of your bills gets into the hands of someone who comes to the site you help the Ontario arm get stronger. We are a family here and I do like your idea of area standings but rest assured you are not out there alone. On every trip I take East to Ontario (three times a year) I bring a fist full of marked money to spread around and I have received hits on some of the cash but much of it is still moving around just looking for someone to find the site. This site (like many others) grows one member at a time… I personally find it a thrill to see people who are the only ones in the area (like you) to turn that area into a CMT hotbed. When I came on site in Saskatoon I was only one drop in a big bucket so as I flew up the ladder credit was given to my location more than my work. Had I been lucky like you and in an area void of members my climb would have been slower but still would have got me to where I am today. However the attention to my climb would have been noticed much more.
Stick with it you will climb as hard work and dedication is rewarded. Maybe a harder side of the mountain to climb then the well worn path I took. But we in the West are watching our Eastern brothers and sisters take this site to new horizons keep up the hard effort and the site will grow strong in the east and with the eastern population may easily knock Saskatoon out of the top spot overtime.
I like your idea as well mojo, but hang in there and your efforts will be rewarded…
No offence BC, I know you keep an eye on a lot of out of the ordinary stuff. Check it out I started here at the first of 2004 and been bumped out of the 30's by trackers in here less than a year.
It may seem like I'm b!¢hing, but I'm just stating that with new trackers joining from everywhere and the hit ratio greater in the west the odds of me seeing anywhere in the 20's in the next 10 years would be equal to me winning the 649.
I've came to the reality that I will never see any other place than the late 30's and with the west getting stronger may never see it again.
With that said I feel in the name of competitiveness have a provincial or better yet have it broken up into 5 regions like in the forums, and top 20 which would put everyone in the top 100 in rank with his territory.
My Level is "Senior User" and am proud of it.
give it time it will get better out east as our site gets bigger every day. i alone put over 1000 bills out east(ontario) every year and all that has to happen is one heavy hitter come to our site from out east and all fury will let out. i truly support regional top 20 list also as would be nice to see who the top players are in each province. look what pooga and idjit did for saskatoon and they are only two members…keep on tracking…we need you here.
I like the idea of having a provincial breakdown like the "other sites" have. The only beef I have with Mojo's suggestion of 5 regions like in the forums; Manitoba is grouped with Saskatchewan. Not a good thing. :)
i agree that regions are fine and that those regions have already been defined in canada called provinces and territories so that would give us our regions and would work well in the postal code thing as well. food for though for dr. when he gets some time.
