1969 Replacement $20

My mom works at the bank and is always on the look out for old bills for me. I don't always take them but I took the one she had today. A VG/F 1969 replacement $20, Lawson/Bouey. Any idea on the price for this bill? It makes up for the one she had to let go two weeks ago. A 1954 $100.

I don't do a lot of banking there, but the few bills she see's she doesn't mind. I know that the bank she works at though told one customer to find out who was marking all the bills and tell him to quit. I was spending a lot of money in the bar and he was getting flack for having marked bills in his deposits.

P.S. I still have the bill.

You gotta wonder about the old bills you first entered when you joined the site. How many of those bills have been taken out of circulation, how many of XXXX number of bills entered are still floating around in the system. Alot of the bills I entered were old fives. I read somewhere that smaller denoms don't last as long as larger ones. I believe twenties travel the farthest.

Twenties travel the farthest maybe but 100's last the longest. I always see 100's from the last release of bills at the banks. More common than any other from that series. I have gotten three tens, four twenties and I could have gotten over a dozen 50's and 100's in the last eight months.

I've had hits off fifties but not hundreds yet. Although all the hundreds I mark usually go to the bank. Some stores won't accept them in case they are counterfeit.

Anglofrog, I have entered about Twenty $50 bills between both sites and maybe 10 $100's and I've only gotten one hit on a $50. That hit came from my Mechanic.

I don,t believe I have had a hit on a 50 or 100 yet and I have entered more than 30 of each…

I have had a triple hit on a fifty.

Big bills are not reliable hits, though I know of a place where hits are almost guaranteed…..

I just realized that I got one of the best places for hits. My school cafeteria. Everyone at my school will spend money there by grade 12, so its perfect for hits.

Yes, I'd say school is the best place for it the place where new ideas are explored. But what I meant when I said the best place for hits is gas stations in Washington. HA HA ….bad joke I know but I could not resist. :I
