Hiya from the cold Canadian prairies. Churchbridge, Saskatchewan, to be exact. I was wondering where I would get a "track this bill online" stamp, which I saw on a five dollar bill recently, which led me to this site. I already got a hit! Would it be kosher to just write the site on the bills with pen?
yes you can write the site on your bills but a stamp is easier and neat. contact gouche92 on this site as he makes stamps or there are two stamp places in saskatoon or in regina plus office supply stores also sell them.
My neice bought some off eBay for a great price. Or you can go to any office supply store. office depot etc. some print shops can also order them in for you. Watch the prices though as some can be quite exhorbitant.
I find that a fine tip sharpie marker gives the best results for writing on the bills. Much better than a ballpoint.
Writing the address on the bill works very well. It worked for me for almost my whole first year, and I still do it sometimes when I don't have my stamp with me. But it seemed too time consuming (and my hand would start to hurt after tracking 75-100 bills in a night!). Getting a stamp made tracking sooooo much easier! I would highly recommend getting one. I got mine for about $20.
I'm just waiting in some info from a forum member about a stamp. My hand got so tired marking every bill we had in the house! Just that adrenalin rush from your first few days after you discovered your first tracked bill… I'm sure you remember that time! :^)
Tsk! Why didn't I think of that? There's only a container full of `em sitting by the computer! The fine tipped marker I was trying to use at first… well, it wasn't pretty! It was a wee bit too fine & started sinking into the bill… you get the picture.
