New From Sherwood Park

Hi! Found my first marked bill a little while back, so checked out the site and found it to be pretty interesting. Started entering bills to see what happens…it's sort of addicting after a while.
Anybody else out there from Sherwood Park?

Idjit

Welcome from Saskatoon! It's funny you think its sort of addicting, because by the time you notice, you are already hopelessly addicted… poor soul…

JaketheDrifter

Thanks for the welcome! My boyfriend sees me spending time on this and thinks I'm totally crazy, especially because I complain all the time about not having enough hours in the day to do everything I want to!! Please tell me the novelty will wear off…..

ScottB

Welcome!! I'd like to tell you that the novelty will wear off but it just keeps getting better and better!

BDKINGSTON

Welcome from Saskatoon… I as well would like to tell you novelty will wear offf, but that would be a lie..The more you enter and the more hits you get the more exciting it becomes…You just keep getting in deeper and deeper and enjoying it more and more..

JaketheDrifter

How long have you been suckered into this for? And, can you tell me why most of the activity comes from Saskatoon? Is there nothing else to do there? he he he

Idjit

Yeah, it gets better, but it won't wear off, you're done for. In the meantime, your 'significant other' will have to join a support group of some sort if they want to survive this…

Idjit

It's because we have quite a few hard core CMTers here. When you have lots of bills circulating, it generates more activity. It kind of spreads like disease. Someone likened it to a virus that the center for disease control should be interested in…

Don't be scared. Lol. Just keep stamping the bills and entering (you should get a stamp, just write the web address on the bills with a catchy phrase) Once you get a hit it gets real exciting. Welcome from Calgary.

Saskatoon?

Well, I think I was the first serious user in town, with Sarge about a week later. That was in April, 2001. And once we got some bills going here we hooked another 4-5 people by the end of the year. Since then, I think we have another 9-10 serious Saskatchewan users.

So it just grows! And the addiction can fade from time to time, but a relapse is always assured. Serotonin, our resident philosopher/shrink (the REAL kind) once alluded to the chemical nature of this addiction. You CAN build up a tolerance for it, but as I said, you ALWAYS have to come back, even if it's "just to check things out"!

money_king_84

Yes. Sorry, but it's all true. I've only been a user for a few months and already I'm addicted. (Why else would I be on the forum at 12:50 at night instead of going to bed? Oh well. It's only 10/11:00 for most of you.) And I feel proud because I managed to hook somebody else to the site too (just read down a bit)! My advice would be to get your boyfriend hooked also. Then the two of you won't have to argue over it!!!

money_king_84

I bet the addiction won't go away…but hey, at least you'll be in good company! Does your boyfriend at least let you post his bills, if not stamp 'em?

JaketheDrifter

I never thought of posting his bills without stamping them. Wouldn't be too hard though, as he usually leaves a few bills lying around. Anyway it's kinda pointless right now as I'm still waiting to get my limit increased - 5 bills per day isn't a lot and I've already spent some marked ones that I'm waiting to be able to enter.

money_king_84

Yeah…I don't always stamp bills. 5 a day isn't a lot for you? It's enough for me! I guess some people are around money more than others. (Lucky them!) (Alright, that sounded totally obsessed! Whatever.)

JaketheDrifter

5 a day just ain't enough right now. I'm sure I'll be scrounging in the near future just to find a couple a day, but right now I have 51 bills already stamped and out there, but not entered yet. Over-eager newbie, I guess.

Can anybody out there give me an idea on how long it takes before your limit gets increased? I've been on the site since Sep 28.
