I starting marking my bills with "See where I've been" over the address. Hubby takes the bills to the city and says everyone is starting to ask him about it. He hates my bills, but every bill that comes into this house gets marked before it goes out. Keeping my fingers crossed for some hits!!
My boyfriend has grudgingly allowed me to enter his bills as well. He even lets me mark most of them, but not all. He too, has complained about people asking him about them (I'll have to remember not to use red ink when I mark his)!
I usually have to pester him every day to see if he has any new bills for me, but after I showed him my first hit last night, he actually brought 2 bills into the computer room for me to enter. Things are looking up!
Yesterday was a first for me too. I usually beg and plead for my guys bills. However yesterday he presents me with a fistful of bills to enter. There is a change in the force.
In the city today with hubby, he was waiting to make a purchase when I noticed his bill was unmarked, quickly marked it and noted serial #. All he did was shake his head. Now if only I could get some more hits…….
More progress…my guy was using the computer today and knew I wanted to use it next, so he actually opened up the CMT for me (wow). Then, when I saw that I got my second hit, he stuck around to see the details of the hit.
Later…… one step forward, two steps back:
He gave me his bills to enter before he went shopping and, thinking it would be okay after these new developments, marked BOTH sides of his bills. Not a good idea. Got a tongue lashing and much grumbling and complaining, "now I don't have a single unmarked side to hand them when I buy my stuff!"
Hmmmm…may be a bit of a struggle to get his next bills from him….
My hubby is going hunting down south for a couple days, will be giving him all marked bills to take. Will even gather the other fellows he hunts with and mark all their bills too. They don't know about this yet, but should be good to spread some bills around. I need some hits!!!
At the local store tonight, took some money out of the cash machine (It broke on me) bought some stuff and quickly had to mark it. Clerk said "Oh so its you who's writing on the money" So told him to check it out, only I don't want local hits, I want my money to go places..Small town, by tomorrow everyone will know its me writing on the bills!
"The secret life of a CMTer" It'll be quite a title for your memoirs! It's funny reading about your early CMT experiences because I think we've all been there, and not too long ago. I can't wait until you've got a real CMT 'convert' to brag about- it's almost a religious experience! :))
Well Idjit, it was your bill that brought me to this site. Did I thank you? I really enjoy everything about it, I hope someone follows my bills and enjoys it as much as I do. So for this I would like to say THANK YOU IDJIT!!
You are welcome! Actually, I think I got a hit from that bill, so right back at ya! I get a kick out of seeing how many people enjoy this hobby- it's fun to see how dedicated (I won't say addicted) people become over time.
Marked all the hunters bills, (only got 6 from them)plus my 8. So today I will have bills going all over Southern Sask. Anyone from Weyburn to Avonlea, watch for them!!
