1) Back up everything on CDs even if you have a DVD writer. The more disks the better the fun.
2) Do not label your CDs with what is on them. There is no need to since your upgrade/install is going to work. Why waste time?
3) Don't bother to download all the latest drivers for all of your favorite devices - i.e mouse, printer, scanner, camera. You won't need them!
