"spreading God's word to others"? Well, you are also dispersing your bills into heaven if you try to pull bulls**t like that. Man, just be patient for a real hit!

noremacikkin

What are you talking about? I just wanted to know where it went? Geez…give me a break, I'm just new to this site! It is a sin to believe in God and want to have a little fun?

I dont think you are allowed to collect hits from your own town. they have to be from another place.

BDKINGSTON

You can get hits from your own town but if the hit looks suspiciuos it could go to hit heaven..For example a hit 2 minutes after you entered it with comments that the bill came from the same place for both people. Or anything else that doesn't look proper. If I enter a bill today and spend it and tomorrow another user got it as change from where I spent it that would be seen as OK.

I had ALL of mine removed. Okay I can understand some of them. but all of them?? I spend money in 3 places here. I dont go to the bar much so there is the post office, the convenience store (rarely) and the coffee shop (once or twice a month) the post office gets mega money from me as I sell on the internet and ship through there. I convinced the girl working there to sign up. when she entered the bills she changed the time to the approximate time she got them. usually i enter bills and then go to the post office. I thought (mistakenly) that the person who found a marked bill got the hit and that she would rack them up. I rarely spend cash anywhere else. it is usually credit cards or debit as most of my winter income is credit cards or cheques. If Canada Post took debit, I would use that there too! But every single 5 in my till is marked! Not that there is much business this time of year in the store.

It's obvious that we need a ruling on this.

We had contemplated the 'small town' syndrome a while back, but this is the first time that we actually have had to face the consequences.

If there are two members in a small town and there are only a few places to spend their money, perhaps there needs to be a rule stating, you can not enter bills recieved from another member directly, but if they are legitimately purchasing something maybe there should be a limit of one bill per transaction. On the other hand if I went to an establishment where another member worked (say in Saskatoon) and spent 10 bills how many would be allowed. And if I spent a lot of time and money in this establishment how many hits would I be allowed over a period of time..This question becomes more difficult to answere as the user base becomes larger…Thinking of the site utopia where every man woman and child is a member, what would we do then..Now I'm rambling…This is a difficult situation…But WOW can you imagine a 100% hit rate…….

I'm from a small town, I agree something should be done. So far no one here has joined CMT, (a shame) I don't want hits if my bill only went across the street, but if it went to Sasktn and back I would like the 3rd hit. Maybe dr could set something up, say a town of under x amount of people the hits go to the town. When the bill leaves town then you would collect hits from those.

antics

maybe be allowed one per 3 or 6 monthes or something. but none??? It is not as if I know this other person other than dealing with her at the post office. she is a temp anyhow. I dont even know her real name! I htink I heard it but forgot it. senior moments. I just call her snoopy now. :o)

crazz

Yeah, but think about it, if your town has 2 stores, a bar, a post office and a bank. Three people from your town join CMT and each visit one place a day making change or whatever. You pretty much now your guarantee a hit. I personally don't want to know if my bill went next door in 2 hours, but want to know if it went somewhere else. If your from a larger city, its a bit harder to find marked bills. It would be no different than having me enter my bills then giving them to my sister to enter them in the city. You can still enter your bills locally, but to get a hit from your neighbor, I don't think is right, but to know its on the move is ok. hope this makes sense. Just like the guys in Sktn or Edm would like to see their hits from somewhere else. Isn't this more about how far can your bill go, and how fast?

antics

village not even a town! sure okay but not even one?? ever?? 10 years?? 20??? LOL! come summer, I will have bills leave here to go all over Canada. I get a lot of tourists. probably 80 per cent of my summer trade are from other provinces. i have all the change (paper) in my till marked. probably wont be able to enter all the ones I get either what with the limits etc. time as well would be a factor then.

I think it's about nature. If all my hits came from the west side of my city, I could care less. It's cool when you see a bill go a long distance, but I'm not going to spend all my cash at the airport kiosk to accomplish this. I would rather just record and pass the cash along and see where it ends up in the natural course of events. Unlike some others, I think a hit is a hit, and don't think that long distance or long time frame should count for more points. Cash eventually migrates out of the trading area, and will generate hits 'from away' sooner or later.

BDKINGSTON

I believe its all about where the bills go,how long it takes, and how long they last. It is also interesting to discover that some bills leave town and return and others never come back to roost, but continue to roam about the country..

I like when i get really crappy bills, that are ready for the shredder, than finding ou they turn up somewheres else in another 100 - 200 days.

Idjit

I've been getting hits from 20s I thought were long gone. I entered 'em way long ago, and now, finally after months, I'm getting hits from these long lost bills. It's like they were on vacation or something….

crazz

All my bills must be on vacation, I haven't had a hit for soooooo looooonnnnggggg. I'm getting a stamp, should be ready in a couple of days, maybe that will help??

BDKINGSTON

I thgink those twenties end up buried in a pile of money at the ban or in an ATM and then they finally get set free..
